Help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton and the environment!

Certain components of some electronic products contain materials that render them hazardous, depending on their condition and density. For instance, California law currently views nonfunctioning CRTs (cathode ray tubes) from televisions and monitor as hazardous.

As of February 2005 the Electronic Waste Recycling Act mandated that it is against the law in California to dispose of these materials in the municipal solid waste stream (regular trash). E-waste recycling helps protect our environment and keep our planet healthy and beautiful.

The Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton will be hosting an e-waste drive and ask anyone with e-waste (old electronics such as T.Vs, VCR's, Computer Monitors, Microwaves, ect.. ) that can be potentially hazardous to throw away (and in fact illegal) to bring it to us on July 11th from 8am - 1pm so we can recycle these items in a safe, environmental friendly way and also raise money by doing so.
